Back from a quick weekend getaway up to Los Olivos, one of our favorite spots.
This was one of the dogs at the airbnb house, coyote ridge, that we stayed at. Philip the host couldn't have been cooler, and the house was on top of a hill overlooking the whole valley. We will definitely stay there again whenever we go up to the valley.
It was a quick trip, but we had some amazing food. Tri-tip, Santa Maria BBQ, from the Los Olivos Grocery is always on our agenda when we go up. They cook it over red oak in the parking lot, and it's right off HWY 154. They also sell really great fig balsamic, so buy some if they have it.
We grabbed apples from Dittmars on Alamo Pintado.
And, we got to enjoy Full of Life Flatbread, one of our favorite restaurants, anywhere. They always have unreal specials every week, depending on what's best that week. All of the food is grown locally, so it's picked that day fresh, and the specials really do change every week. We got to try a smoked sturgeon salad, a fingerling potato soup that was out of control good, and a wild-gathered chanterelle and kale flatbread. If you're ever in the central coast area, you can't miss Full of Life.
For now, it's back to work and school, while hoping we can escape up north again soon.
